"On-Ramp Genius"
Lea Curtes-Swenson

Having earned her journalism degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Lea spent the early part of her career working in Minneapolis advertising and public relations firms. She then went on to work for a large wholesale distributor of home comfort (HVAC) products, where she got to hone her communication skills and wear a multitude of marketing hats (none with feathers, unfortunately). She gave up her position as marketing director after having her first daughter, and spent three marvelous years focusing on the many highs and lows of parenthood.

After her husband’s transfer to Denver, she got a part-time sales job… and promptly got pregnant (just like everyone said she would). Daughter #2 came along, and Lea has been searching for the on-ramp ever since.

She lives with her husband, Matt, and their two little monkeys girls in the Denver area, where they enjoy hiking, team cycling (him), triathlon training (her) and just hanging out as a family. She’s currently documenting her blogging learning curve at Lea’s Blogging Life, contributes regularly to CnK Designs' blog, and is slowly-but-surely finding her way back to paid writing work.
