You Be Bloggin Too?
We are always looking for guest bloggers – whether you’re interested in a one-time post or an ongoing gig WorkingMomLifeline.com is looking for funny, honest, open and real talk from working moms (and the people who love them).
All posts can include a bio blurb on you, a link to your website or blog if you wish and information about your products, services and/or expertise.
Here’s what we ask/need (it’s not much):
• Be honest
• Be funny
• Don’t be afraid to say you’re confused, stressed, annoyed or overwhelmed – we all are!
• Remember our audience – working moms craving sanity and humor
• Keep the posts short – a blog is not a newspaper column (more of a column writer? Maybe you should become a Resident Genius) – keep posts to 300 words (longer posts can be divided into two parts – we can do this on our end)
Interested? Let us know your take and/or area of expertise. E-mail us (workingmomlifeline [at] gmail.com) of use our Contact form and we’ll get the dialogue started.

OUR NEW GIVEAWAY!
I recently received a posting on my blog at http://www.blog.high-achievingwomen.com. It was from a woman, saying that she feels guilty because she doesn’t feel she’s “near as good at the domestic stuff” as she is at work, which makes her feel guilty when she’s at home. Her note ended with one desperate plea: Help!
Wow, I thought as soon as I read it, where is it written that women should be as good at “domestic stuff” as they are at all the other amazing things they do day in and day out? The answer is – no place except in their brains! Many modern day, accomplished women often feel that they should excel at everything they do. If they don’t excel at something, they view it as a failure or they feel guilty. But that’s simply not true! I know a lot of exceptional women and not a single one excels at everything they do. In fact, the only woman I know who excels at everything she does is Superwoman – a fictional character! Who can compete with a fictional character? Why put that kind of pressure on yourself?
So my advice is – shred the Superwoman script! It has a tragic ending and one that women can’t afford to perform any longer. Today’s world is stressful enough. Why add to the stress by expecting to be great or even good at everything you do? Let’s face it. Some women are domestic goddesses and some aren’t. Who cares if you aren’t? There’s nothing that says you can’t enjoy something you don’t excel at – sometimes the fun is in the journey (making the pie) rather than the final destination (what it tastes like).
